Academic Support
Start by reaching out to your faculty mentor, as they understand the demands of balancing your career, personal commitments, and coursework. You may also contact your Academic Advisor or your Student Support and Success Administrator for support and assistance in navigating next steps.
You may add or drop courses during the first two weeks of the semester without a “W” grade. Drops between weeks 3–10 will result in a “W” (Withdrawal) on your transcript. Drops after week 10 require special approval. Please contact your Student Support and Success Administrator for guidance and to begin the process. Pro-rated tuition refunds may apply depending on the timing of the drop.
If you need to take a leave of absence for personal reasons, please contact your Student Support and Success Administrator to discuss the Leave of Absence process. You will be guided through the next steps and provided with the required paperwork.
Please visit the Office of Graduate Education Forms and Policies page for the Plan of Study and other important forms.
Course Experience
You can contact your Faculty Mentor via email, the Canas Inbox in the digital classroom, or setting up a virtual meeting scheduled at your convenience.
RPI at Work synchronous sessions are live Zoom sessions, generally held every two to three weeks in the evening. These sessions provide real-time engagement with faculty and classmates, including course updates and project discussions. The sync session schedule can be found on the homepage of your course.
Sync sessions are scheduled in the evenings to accommodate different time zones, and students are expected to attend live. However, if missing a session is unavoidable, sessions are generally recorded and links are posted within 24 hours. If you are unable to attend a sync session, please reach out to your Faculty Mentor for guidance and support.
