RPI ProCourses Policies

  1. COMPLETION:
    • Upon successful completion of an RPI ProCourse, participants receive a certificate of completion and digital credential signifying their completion of the course. Successful completion is determined by the Executive Mentor facilitating the course and may include completion of modules, assignments, assessments, or other deliverables as specified in the course description. 
    • RPI ProCourses do not earn transcripted credit hours for those who complete the programs. 
    • Completed RPI ProCourses may not be applied to any degree or certificate program. 
  2. COURSE FORMAT AND ACCESS PERIOD: 
    • Self-paced (asynchronous) ProCourses are available immediately upon enrollment and must be completed within 90 days of enrollment. Course access expires at the end of the 90-day period. 
    • Synchronous ProCourses have fixed start and end dates and may include live sessions conducted via Zoom.
  3. REFUNDS:
    • Synchronous ProCourses: Refunds - minus processing fees - may be issued for synchronous ProCourses before the course start date. After the course has begun, refunds are no longer available. RPI may choose to give credit toward a future course at its sole discretion. Before the course start date, participants may cancel their enrollment and receive a refund by contacting us at procourses@rpi.edu 
    • Self-paced (asynchronous) ProCourses: All sales are final once the online course environment is accessed. No refunds will be issued thereafter. Please review the course description carefully before purchasing. 
  4. USE OF INFORMATION: Participant information provided during the registration process or course will not be shared outside of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (or partner(s) for jointly offered courses) but may be used by RPI to inform participants of additional courses and learning opportunities available to them. Participants may opt out by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of email communications. 
  5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: RPI ProCourses are wholly developed and delivered by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and its employees/designees.   6. COURSE CANCELLATION: Courses with insufficient enrollment – or for other reasons determined by RPI– may be cancelled. Enrolled participants may choose to roll their registration to an alternative course or may receive a full refund equal to the paid registration.
