Take Rensselaer to work by participating in programs designed for mission-critical employees and the companies that depend on them. Using Rensselaer’s digital classroom – the RensselaerStudio - students complete projects that are applicable to their work, perfecting their professional abilities while simultaneously providing value back to their employer. With a personalized approach from the start, Rensselaer Faculty Practitioners provide industry expertise, advice, and mentorship. Students take just one course at a time, enroll in a graduate certificate of their choice, or stack multiple certificates in to a customized master’s degree.

Rensselaer at Work Programs

MBA for Professionals

  • 6 courses / 36 credit hours to complete the degree
  • Learn to make executive-level decisions in real-time under today’s market conditions
  • Professionals from all academic backgrounds welcome

Master of Science in Engineering Science

  • Choose 3 qualifying certificates and complete an Integrative Project to fulfill the degree requirements
  • Apply and enroll in your first certificate; you can opt in or out of the degree at any time before beginning the Integrative Project

Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering and Technology Management

  • 10 courses / 30 credit hours to complete the degree
  • Complete four core courses and then choose two qualifying graduate certificates to add to your credentials and complete the degree
  • Previous engineering degree not required

Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering

  • 10 courses / 30 credit hours to complete the degree
  • Using Agile project management methodologies - you plan, implement, and execute projects driving mechanical structures with greater acumen
  • Previous engineering degree or equivalent required

Graduate Certificates

  • Each certificate is three courses, nine credit hours
  • Begin the certificate of your choice in January, May, or August
  • Certificates can count towards the completion of a Master of Science in Engineering Science or a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering and Technology Management
