Start with a Certificate. Build Toward Your Bachelor’s Degree.

RPI’s new Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Production and Operations Management creates a flexible pathway for working professionals ready to advance their education and careers.

Rather than waiting until the entire degree is complete to earn a credential, students can begin with an undergraduate certificate, build immediately applicable capabilities, and then apply those courses toward completion of the B.Tech degree.

Earn Credentials Along the Way

Start by completing an RPI undergraduate certificate in a focused area of study. Each certificate provides a valuable RPI credential while also serving as a building block toward the B.Tech.

Continue your education by stacking eligible certificate coursework toward the Bachelor of Technology in Production and Operations Management—allowing you to make progress toward your bachelor's degree while earning credentials along the way.

Designed for Working Professionals

The B.Tech combines technology, operations, management, and leadership to prepare professionals for greater responsibility in today's technical organizations.

The program is:

  • 100% online, designed to fit around work and life

  • Project-based, allowing you to apply learning to real workplace challenges

  • Built around stackable undergraduate certificates, so you can earn meaningful credentials as you progress toward the degree

  • Designed for degree completion, building upon previous college education and experience

  • Career-focused, developing capabilities in operations, problem solving, project management, leadership, and continuous improvement

  • Supported by RPI Instructor Mentors, providing guidance, feedback, and applied expertise throughout your learning experience
